Here you get printing at the absolute highest level for fine art. You can get professional enlargements, Giclee prints of your photos at a moderate price.

Most serious artists choose to work with me by participating in the process themself. You can be involved in digitization, image processing, pre-press preparation and actual printing. Then you have full control to ensure optimized results as you like and want. After all it is your art, there will never be the same to hand over the work to a print service that is performed without you on it. Then you lose some of the ownership of the process of your Giclee art prints. There are very many things that can vary widely during such a process, and only a small assessment that is not the way you want, can change the expression of the print into something completely different.

We use a system with 12 colors, pigmented ink with water base, 2400 lines per. inch, that means true 600dpi prints. The color space corresponds to Adobe RGB, which is as big as you can get on printers today.

I recommend Giclee above C-print. With my method I get a larger Gamut, color space is very wide, this is particularly visible in the red-warm area and blue-greens. Both Giclee and C-print is durable, both are digital, with C-print the image is transferred onto the paper with laser. The previously valid arguments for C-print is no longer not valid as benefits for that. The technology and the paper we use, as well as the processing of the images before and during printing makes me think I can make better prints with the Giclée method now.

The process is specialized using the finest media, canvas, art and photo paper from Canson Arches. To be able to make the best Giclee`s one can get, I have specialized on a those papers, and know them so well that I can really get the best out of all the images I print on them. also optimize ICC profiles and nurses the process in a loving way, always aiming for the best possible results.

Customers are f. ex. especially impressed by the possibilty to obtain images on matte paper (f. ex. Edition Etching Rag 310gr.) that is clean and crisp, with bright colors, very deep black levels and fine and careful highlight details. Prints on Baryt have the good, old traditional analogue Baryt look, a classic quality with great authority and amazing depth of colors and tones. High-gloss paper for photo looks stunning where appropriate. Platine and Satine papir suits many desires. The classic BFK Rives provides a velvety surface with incredible depth and feeling, but does not tolerate you touching the dark areas of the image, so it must be treated with caution. Prints cam also be done on canvas, for those who want that classic look, Museum & Artist Canvas Water Resistant Matte and the new PhotoArt HD Canvas, which is more white and fine-grained than we are used to see on canvases, there is both a clean image surface and a very pleasing color, almost the same quality as on paper.

Canson Edition Etching Rag Arches 310gr.

This is a 100% cotton based paper, without optical brighteners, and has the purest white surface available in the market. The paper offers the deepest black levels, great sharpness in images optimal color gradation which together with the unique feeling of an injunction grains provide an excellent image quality. Suitable for detailed images, color and black / white photography. Portraits never looks as good as on Edition. It is a structure in the paper, but it is smooth and appealing. The surface is coated with a layer of micropore substance for the ink to adhere nicely and sharply in a good way. Both the paper and ink are natural products, the bonus of that is that it might be called organic, beside that the durability becomes so long. If one avoids avoids high humidity, severe temperature changes and UV radiation, like not direct sunlight, then color authenticity will last up to 150-200 years.

[/et_pb_tab][et_pb_tab title=»Velin Museum»]

Canson Arches Velin Museum Rag 315gr.

[/et_pb_tab][et_pb_tab title=»BFK Rives»]

Canson Arches BFK Rives 310gr.

[/et_pb_tab][et_pb_tab title=»Rag»]

Canson Arches Rag Potographique 210gr & 310gr.

[/et_pb_tab][et_pb_tab title=»Platine»]

Canson Arches Platine Fibre Rag 310gr.

[/et_pb_tab][et_pb_tab title=»Photo Highgloss»]

Canson Arches Photo Highgloss Premium RC 315gr.

[/et_pb_tab][et_pb_tab title=»Baryta»]

Canson Arches Baryta Photographique 310gr.

More about Canson Arches paper and canvas.

Ragged PAPER is historically a cloth paper and denote woodfree paper made of textile fibers such as cotton, hemp or flax. Cloth Paper is sturdy and resistant to aging and is also used for banknotes and document paper. The two Canson and Arches mills produce all their RAG papers from cotton fibers.

Mould-made is a process where the pulp is fed a kind of cylindrical frame with wire mesh, the rotating round frame with wire mesh inside and filt on the outside is lowered into a tank, also called pulp. There, water is slowly pumped out from the inside of the cylinder, so that there is a negative pressure which pulls the paper pulp on to the filter of mesh and felt. Maybe that’s why a filter is called filter, because this has been done this way in around a thousand years or more. When the cylinder rotates, the wet and still fairly loose surface transfers to a belt which also consists of felt on netting, which is further passed through rollers with different functions, such as shaping surface, setting thickness and firmness and to dry the paper. This is a continuous process, but can perfectly be used to create sheets too, one at the time, they then get a unique edge, the paper will then have the size frame has.

There are essentially three levels of this:

Handmade (handmade paper): In frames by hand (Moulds)
Mould-made paper: In a slow machining process that mimics the handmade method. Typical speed is 1 to 10 meters per. min.
Mechanically produced paper: (Fourdrinier machine / process) which runs at speeds up to many meters per second.

Almost all plain paper is made in such machines. Paper produced with mold-made method preserves the quality and the individual traits of handmade paper, but provides a safe and consistent quality that makes it possible to use them in printers. Handmade paper is made in flat frames. I think the Norwegian word for mold is mold or form, it is thus the designation of a frame with wire mesh and a filter layer of f. Ex. felt where the paper pulp is separated from the water it is dissolved in. By use of frames it is obtained what is called the deckle edge, which is a characteristic edge that is not cut, but it ends where there just was no more pulp. If the paper is torn, cut or clipped, it is no longer called a deckle edge. The felt of the belt and / or the cylinder is pressed against the paper while it is wet and such determines the paper surface structure. Paper can later be rolled, polished or surface treated in different ways. Edition Etching Rag is f. ex not surface treated mechanically later in the process.

For the printer ink to stick to the paper in an optimal way, the papers are surface treated with a coating. For this there are many different chemicals or natural products. Edition has a very special surface (coating) of a substance they just call resin, but I guess there are some other substances in it.

Canson Arches paper is used by famous artists worldwide, including Picasso, Chagall, Warhol, Ingres, Miro, Pushwagner, Christian Houge and Alechinsky. Prints are typically printed on sheets A0, A1, A2, A3 or A4 or on a roll in width 24, 41, 61, 90 or 111 cm width, length can them be up to 15 meters.
